Obituary

Mr. Donald Petrowsky nbsp; Don Petrowsky of North Spring Street in Random Lake formerly of Mequon passed away peacefully Thursday August 21 at his granddaughterrsquo;s house following a short battle with cancer. He was 78 years old.nbsp; Don was born October 18 1929 in Milwaukee son of Norma Petrowsky. At age 16 he moved to Montana to work in the mines. He returned to Wisconsin and on December 8 1951 he was united in marriage with Doris Piquette at Evangelical Manse in Milwaukee. The couple resided in Mequon for over 40 years. nbsp;Doris preceded him in death in 1996. Don worked at RES Manufacturing in Milwaukee.nbsp; Mr. Petrowsky was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Belgium. He enjoyed hunting and fishing woodworking building model airplanes leather tooling playing the accordion watching the Packers and listening to old country western music. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. nbsp;Don is survived by his six children: Chris (Tom) Tushoski of Rhinelander Mark (Janet) Petrowsky of Milwaukee Rosemarie (Michael) Albrecht of Cedarburg Michael (Laura) Petrowsky of Grafton Gary Petrowsky of Random Lake and Brian (Julie) Petrowsky of Belgium. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren: Annette (fianceacute; Nic Kultgen) Petrowsky Angela (Domenic) Bergemann Tami (Mike) Ostrom Stephanie (David) Mesa and Paul Tony Amy Joshua Zachary and Jacob Petrowsky and Penny Bearheart (fianceacute; of the late Joe Turner)five great-grandchildren: Autumn Addisen Aiden Makenna and Donovan nbsp;other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris and one grandson Joe Turner. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday August 26 6:00 PM at St. Mark Lutheran Church 200 Park St. Belgium. Pastor Wayne King will officiate.nbsp; Don will be laid to rest beside his wife at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon. Visitation will take place Tuesday from 5 ndash;6PM at the church. Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society or the local Humane Society of your choice . The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses from Aurora VNA hospice for their compassionate care.
