Donald Glander, of Kiel, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Monday, November 30, 2015 at his residence. He was 59 years old. Don was born on June 24, 1956, son of Eugene Glander and Kathleen Ehren Glander. Don grew up in Random Lake, graduating from Random Lake High School in 1974. After high school, Don attended Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, graduating with an Associate's Degree in Retail Marketing. For the past 13 years Don was the manager of the auto department at Walmart in Plymouth. He enjoyed decorating for Christmas. He loved sharing his decorating skills with his nieces and nephew. Don also enjoyed attending the automobile swap meet in Iola, history and genealogy, and traveling to Door County and Wisconsin Dells.
Don is survived by his parents Eugene and Kathleen of Random Lake, three brothers, Michael of Plymouth, Mark (Joan) of Hingham and David (Beth) of Sheboygan. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 10th at 5:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Mary's Chapel, 300 Butler St. in Random Lake. Father Todd Budde will preside over Mass. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Random lake. Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Thursday, December 10th from 3:30 PM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of donor's choice suggested.
