Donald "Don" A. Veloon, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Don was born in Bayview, Wisconsin on December 3, 1928 to Christ and Leokadia (nee Syperko) Veloon. Don proudly served in the United States Army from 1951 until the time of his honorable discharge in 1953. He was a graduate of MSOE, where he obtained a technical degree in electronics. After graduation Don was employed with several aero-space companies in California and Maryland, where he held various engineering positions. Don is survived by his brothers Elmer Veloon, Melvin Veloon and sister Gloria Schwengel. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Don is preceded in death by his brother Robert (Delores) Veloon, sisters-in-law Dorothy and Elnora Veloon and brother-in-law Armin Schwengel. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Eernisse Funeral Home (1600 West Grand Avenue Port Washington, Wisconsin 53074). Full military honors will follow. Pastor Paul Reede will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM. Don will be laid to rest at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Salvation Army.
