Donald Don the Barber Conway age 90 years formerly of Waubeka died Sunday July 9 2006 at Belgium Gardens of complications of Parkinsons Disease. He was born April 10 1916 in Elroy WI son of Patrick and Ellen Taylor Conway. On September 14 1940 he married Beth Russell in Baraboo. She preceded him in death in 1991. Don was a WW II Army veteran and owned Don's Barber Shop in Port Washington from 1955 until retiring in 1986. He was a member of Warren Kane American Legion in Fredonia. He was a dedicated grandfather and enjoyed working in his workshop at home. He is survived by his two children Nancy (Allen) Haacke of Port Washington and Larry (Susie) Conway of Random Lake four grandchildren Stephanie Haacke Carrie (Eric) Haacke Golden Sarah Haacke and Cindy Conway-Haas (Craig) four great grandchildren Ryan and Erin Haas and Kate and Charlotte Haacke Golden three brothers Richard (Ginny) and Victor Conway of Baraboo and Ben (Fran) Conway of Rockford IL nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Funeral Friday July 14 5 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington with Pastoral Associate Mary McHugh officiating.
