DONALD A. R. EERNISSE Donald Eernisse age 82 years of Cedarburg died Thursday afternoon April 2 2009 at Columbia St. Maryrsquo;s Hospital in Mequon where he had been a patient for the past week and a half.nbsp; He was born April 15 1926 in Grafton son of the late Oscar and Viola Staewen Eernisse.nbsp; Donald served in the U.S. Army during WW II and received the Purple Heart after his troopship was torpedoed by a German submarine in the Indian Ocean.nbsp; On Oct. 1 1949 he married Jean Tolksdorf at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton.nbsp; He worked at Grob Inc. in Grafton for 38 years retiring in 1988.nbsp; He was a life-long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and a member of Rose-Harms American Legion Post.nbsp; He is survived by his wife Jean; four children Donna (James) Gunderson of Wautoma Pamela (Larry) Beverung of Saukville Dennis (Connie) Eernisse of Cedarburg and John (Monique) Eernisse of Rhome TX;nbsp;five grandchildren Heidi Chad Adam Meghan and Ross; and three great-grandchildren Kylie Preston and Par; his sister Ruth (the late Clarence) Fiedler of Wild Rose two brothers Robert (Marvelle) Eernisse of Grafton and James (Carol) Eernisse of Wabeno; two sisters-in-law Georgia (the late Earl) Eernisse of Port Washington and Virginia (the late Verle) Nicholas of Grafton one brother-in-law Richard (Lynne) Tolksdorf of Prescott AZ; nieces nephews other relatives and friends.nbsp; Funeral services Sunday April 5 3 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church Grafton with Pastor Kenton Wendorf officiating.nbsp; Burial with military honors at Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg.nbsp; In state at the CHURCH Sunday from 1-3 PM.nbsp; In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Rose-Harms American Legion appreciated. br /Service:br /pFuneral Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton on Sunday April 5 2009 at 3PM./pbr /Cemetery:br /pBurial at Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg./p
