Dolores Mertz, age 85, passed away on September 12, 2017. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 3, 1931 to Peter and Grace (nee Goodman) Lemanczyk. Dolores was united in marriage to William Mertz on February 27, 1954 and they were married for 21 years before his passing in 1975. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was her life. She also enjoyed cooking, reading and sewing. Dolores is survived by her children William (Susan) Mertz from Oak Creek and Sandy (Joe) VanTreeck of Cedarburg. She is further survived by her 6 grandchildren: Jen (Chris) Wszalek, Steve VanTreeck, Andy (fiancée Sara) Mertz, Jon Mertz, Jordan Mertz and Sarah Mertz and her 3 great-grandchildren: Max, Penny and Vivian. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents and her husband William. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 1:30-2:30 PM at Eernisse Funeral Home (1167 Washington Avenue Cedarburg, Wisconsin 53012). A private inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery on Monday, September 18, 2017. Dolores's family would like to thank Kathy Hospice for all the care and support they provided.
