Mrs. Dolores Kultgen of Belgium passed away peacefully on Friday evening, July 7, 2017. She was 90 years old. Dolores was born on the family farm in Dacada on October 9, 1926, daughter of Nicholas and Adelia Wetor Gonwa. She attended St. Nicholas Catholic School and later graduated from Random Lake High School. Dolores was united in marriage with Harvey Anzia on June 5, 1948 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada, and the couple settled down to farm in the Lake Church area. She married Eugene Watry on April 16, 1977 at St. Mary Catholic Church – Lake Church in the Town of Belgium. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 412 Auxiliary and the VFW Post 5373 Auxiliary. Mrs. Kultgen was a collector of swizzle sticks- her current collection contained over 4000 with no doubles! She enjoyed collecting them locally at garage sales and flea markets, and even went to a few conventions out of state to collaborate with other collectors.
