DOLORES M. DEES Mrs. Dolores Dees formerly of Wisconsin Ave. in Cedar Grove passed away on Thursday morning January 12 2006 at Harbor House Memory Care in De Forrest WI. She was 78 years old. Dolores was born in Minneapolis MN on February 15 1927 oldest daughter of George and Rose Banish Skroch. The family moved to South Dakota soon after and Dolores graduated from high school in Igloo SD in 1944. She went on to nursing college in Denver CO graduating in May of 1947. On May 8 1948 she was united in marriage with Carl P. Dees at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont SD. The couple moved to Wisconsin and settled in Cedar Grove to raise their family. Mrs. Dees worked as a nurse at Memorial Hospital in Sheboygan St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan and finally as the nurse for Dr. James Jensen in Cedar Grove retiring in the mid 1980's. Her husband preceded her in death on May 26 1983. Mrs. Dees was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lake Church. She enjoyed making ceramics collected music-boxes and was an avid reader. She liked spending time outdoors and with family especially family get-togethers with all of the relatives. She is survived by her children David Dees of Madison and Connie (Ken) Wood of Wisconsin Rapids three grandchildren: Amanda Dees of Madison Andy and Chelsea Wood both of Wisconsin Rapids. She is further survived by 2 brothers: Michael Skroch of Torrington WY and Ken (Lillian) Skroch of Spearfish SD 2 sisters: Rita (Wayne) Pourier also of Spearfish SD and Rosemarie (Ian) Snyder of Fairfield Bay AR 2 sisters-in-law: Margaret Kronforst of Cedar Grove and Marianne Walber of Phoenix AZ. Dolores is also survived by nieces nephews other relatives and many friends in the area. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 16th 7 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church Lake Church. Father Jim Vojtik will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the First Reformed Cemetery Cedar Grove. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 5-7PM.
