Mrs. Diane Doers of Port Washington passed away at Belgium Gardens on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the age of 85. Diane was born in Port Washington on May 20, 1934, daughter of Theodore Schachel and Marie Behrendt Schachel. She attended local schools and graduated from Port Washington High School, with the class of 1952. On June 13, 1953 she was united in marriage with Allan Doers. The couple settled in Port Washington to raise their family. Mrs. Doers was an avid Milwaukee Admirals fan and Milwaukee Brewers fan and also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her three children: Glenn (Chris) Doers of Port Washington, Karina (Greg) Evenson of Cedar Grove, and Bruce (Janice) Doers of Port Washington. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one brother Keith (Connie) Schachel of Pomona, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Allan. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 12 Noon at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Rev. Linda Westphal-Buth will preside over the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Union Cemetery in Port Washington. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, December 7th from 10 AM until the time of services. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the family.
