Denny Franzke age 66 years of Port Washington died Tuesday evening December 20 2005 at Columbia-St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital in Mequon. He was born January 9 1939 in Port Washington son of the late Lloyd and Esther Meins Franzke. On October 21 1982 he married Virginia Amos in Port Washington. Denny worked as an equipment operator for Ozaukee County Highway Department retiring in 1999 after 28 years. He was a member of Grand Ave. United Methodist Church in Port Washington the Port Washington Lions Club Port Washington Senior Citizens and the Clay Ridge Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter enjoyed the outdoors woodworking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Virginia two children Brian (Anita) Franzke of Saukville and Kris (Michael Kellogg) Franzke of Milwaukee three stepchildren Cheryl Burton of Milwaukee Laurie (Paul) Miller of Cedarburg and Elizabeth Stroot of Sheboygan ten grandchildren Elaine Evelle Emily Elizabeth Maggie Liam Justin Brittany Emily and Xiomara. Funeral Friday eve. Dec. 23 7 PM at Grand Ave. United Methodist Church 505 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington with Pastor Dave Guse officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery Port Washington.
