Mrs. Delores Leppla formerly of Port Washington passed away Saturday morning January 10 2015 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg. She was 88 years old. Delores was born July 1 1926 the youngest of 9 children born to Herman and Minnie (nee Schultz) Bartelt. She graduated from Port Washington High School in 1944. On December 31 1947 she was united in marriage with Clarence Leppla at Friedens Ev. Church in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 2003. Delores was a lifelong member of Friedens Ev. Church where she had been active with the Ladies Guild. In her younger years she had enjoyed league bowling playing sheepshead and bingo canning cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Delores is survived by her children: Joanne Rychtik of Port Washington Bill (Paula) Leppla of Port Washington Maryann (Terry) Stoecker of Port Washington and Laura Petrovic of Cedarburg. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren sister-in-law Harriet Leppla of West Bend many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Delores is preceded in death by her husband Clarence 1 sister and 7 brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 5PM on Tuesday January 13 2015 at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington. Pastor David Toeller will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-5PM. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Clarence at Union Cemetery Port Washington. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Friedens Ev. Church.
