DELLA E. DAVIS nbsp; Mrs. Della Davis formerly of Milwaukee and Baraboo passed away at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday morning December 20 2009.nbsp; She was 97 years old.nbsp; Della was born near Baraboo on January 7 1912 daughter of Roy and Anna Carpenter Traxler.nbsp; She was joined with her husband Harvey K. Davis during a Thanksgiving Day wedding ceremony many years ago.nbsp; The couple lived in Milwaukee and Baraboo. Harvey preceded Della in death in October 19 1988.nbsp; Following his death Mrs. Davis moved to Port Washington to be closer to her family.nbsp; Della was known as a fun and social lady.nbsp; She attributed some of her longevity to her habit of drinking two highballs before dinner until she entered the Heritage facility.nbsp; She also enjoyed playing poker and bingo.nbsp; Della is survived by her son-in-law Donald (the late Arlene) Blakeslee of Port Washington as well as 2 grandchildren: Kari (Dave Sparks) Stelzl of Port Washington and Scott (Colleen) Blakeslee of Jackson.nbsp; She is further survived by 1 great-grandson Jacob Stelzl of Port Washington her sister Freda Zacharenka of Milwaukee nieces nephews other relatives and friends.nbsp; She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey daughter Arlene and 2 brothers: Duane and Edwin Traxler.nbsp; Graveside services will be held at Fairfield Cemetery near Baraboo on Wednesday December 23.nbsp; The family wishes to thank all of the Heritage staff for their wonderful care of Della these last three years.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;br /Cemetery:br /pFairfield Cemetery Sauk County/p
