Obituary

Ms. Debbie Schultz of Sheboygan passed away Wednesday, August 26th at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. She was 67 years old. Deborah was born in Pueblo, CO on March 18, 1953, daughter of Eugene and Betty Bletnik Piquette. When she was a young girl, the family moved to Butler, WI. Debbie attended local schools, graduating from Hamilton High School in Sussex. She later lived in Port Washington before moving to Sheboygan in 2009. Debbie was a machine operator at Western States Envelope for 20 years before she took a position in the deli at Walmart on Sheboygan's north side, where she has worked for the last seven years. She loved working, and the friendships she built with co-workers were very important to her. Debbie was an avid reader and enjoyed romance novels and shows on The Hallmark Channel. She was fascinated by all things paranormal, and would devour books and programs on the topic, as long as they were not of the scary variety. Survivors include Michael Horton, the love of her life for the last 17 years, and their cat Twitty. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Piquette, brother-in-law Tim Horton (significant other Kim Engen) and sister-in-law Tara (Jeff) Kapke. Further surviving are nine nieces and nephews: Jesse, Amanda, Jason (Michelle), David, Amelia, Kylene, Adam and James. Debbie is preceded in death by her parents Gene & Betty Piquette, and her sister Cindy Hummel. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5-7PM at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg, followed by a Memorial Service at 7PM. To comply with the statewide mandate, face masks will be required at the visitation and service. Service seating is limited to 50 people. The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements: online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
