IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dawn D.
Boeselager
January 19, 1964 – October 9, 2024
Dawn Boeselager, 60, of Saukville, passed away the evening of October 9th, 2024, suddenly in her home.
Dawn was born on January 19th, 1964, to Tom and Diane Radecki in Sheboygan. After Dawn graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1982, she went on to study Accounting at UW Whitewater from 1989-1990, and later earned a certificate in Business Administration from Lakeshore Technical College.
From 1993-1998, Dawn was married to Randall Boeselager and together they had two sons, Beau and Brandon.
In 2007, Dawn founded Tailwaggers 911 Dog Rescue. She had a mission to find as many forever homes for dogs as possible. Her charity took dogs from overcrowded shelters in the southern US, hoarder homes, breeding operations that were being shut down, and surrendered dogs; they then found foster homes for them to live in while searching for the right permanent fit for that dog. For 17 years, she did just that, saving over 4,000 dogs before she passed the organization on to her daughter-in-laws in August of 2024.
Dawn enjoyed swimming in her pool, dogs (of course) and spending time and sharing a good meal with friends and family.
In 2023, Dawn had a horrible accident where she fell into her fire pit. She was in an induced coma for weeks and spent about 8 months in the hospital receiving treatment for her burns and battling various complications. Dawn continued to struggle with her health, especially with cardiovascular issues, after her stint in the hospital. It's believed that those cardiovascular issues led to her death.
Dawn was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Diane Radecki. She is survived by her brothers Craig (Claire) Radecki, Roy Radecki, and her sons Beau (Rebecca) Boeselager and Brandon (Brianna) Boeselager.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life open house that will be held at The Patio Bar and Grill in Port Washington on October 27th from 2-5PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the charity Dawn built, Tailwaggers 911 Dog Rescue.
