nbsp; nbsp; David J. Wheeler Mr. David Wheeler of Adell formerly of Fredonia passed away Thursday March 31 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old. David was born April 5 1931 in Milwaukee the son of John and Helen Dickmann Wheeler. After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Army for 18 years. After the Army David worked as a heavy equipment mechanic.nbsp;nbsp; On June 11 1966 he was united in marriage with Ione Herkowski in Milwaukee.nbsp; The couple resided in Fredonia where they raised their 11 children. David enjoyed playing bass guitar and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Ione of Adell and their 10 children: David Jr of Madison Cynthia of Gulf Breeze FL Michael of Necedah WI Scott of Adell Anne (Joe) Redmond of Fredonia John (Caroline) of Menomonee Falls Robert (Karla) of South Milwaukee Richard of Adell Jean (Derek) Berg of Campbellsport and Jane (Tom) Prebit of Ackworth GA. He is further survived by 21 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren nieces nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son William ldquo;Billrdquo; and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 6PM on Monday April 4 at Portview Christian Church 3457 Cty. Rd LL in Port Washington with Pastor Mark Larson officiating. He will be inurned at Beechwood Cemetery in the Town of Scott. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday afternoon from 4-6PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
