Obituary

David Torrison of the Town of Sherman passed away at his home on June 4th, 2023. He was 88 years old.

Born in Valders, WI to Orin and Clara (nee Berg) Torrison, David attended local schools and graduated from the high school in town before attending Luther College in Iowa for two years. David then decided to serve his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Following his discharge from the Army, David finished his bachelor's degree in business administration, with a major in accounting, from Spencerian College.

In 1956 David met his future wife Barbara, and they were united in marriage on November 2nd, 1957. Mr. Torrison then began a long career with the federal government, retiring after 35 years.

Survivors include his devoted wife Barbara, their four children: David (Lori) Torrison, Todd Torrison, Tim (Ann) Torrison and Kristin (Kevin) Hagemeier, nine grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by sisters-in-law Ruth (the late Glenn) Torrison, Carol (the late Jerry) Zeutzius, brother-in-law Tom (the late Bobbie) Dierbeck, other family and friends.

David was preceded by his infant son Daniel, parents Orin and Clara Torrison, brothers Ralph and Glenn Torrison, parents-in-law Walter and Edwarda Barrons, nephew Tom Torrison and niece Tricia Wright.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (ELCA), 705 Grand Ave. in Random Lake, WI following the regularly scheduled church service, on Sunday July 2nd, 2023, at 11:30AM.
