Mr. David W. Abramowski, of Greers Ferry, AR, passed away Wednesday, November 20th at his daughter's home in Montgomery, TX. He was 68 years old. David was born December 30, 1950 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Earl F. Abramowski and Rose Marie (Rozek) Doyle. David grew up in Port Washington and graduated from Port Washington High School with the class of 1970. After high school, he served the country he loved during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force. He worked the majority of his life as a marketing manager in airline catering, where he was able to travel and explore the world. David was a fun loving, generous and easy-going man who loved his children and grandchildren. From the time he was a small child, he had a sweet tooth, and as an adult one of his favorite things to do was order vast amounts of candies and goodies online, sharing them with his friends and family. He loved cooking and baking and shared his culinary creations with his family and neighbors. He enjoyed camping, particularly in Arkansas, where he eventually bought a home so that he could do the things he loved… fishing, gardening, raising chickens and spending time with his two dogs, Buddy and Charlie. His exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam led to a multitude of health problems over the years, culminating in chronic health issues which eventually overtook him. He is survived by his two children Jessica (Jason) Vaughan and David (Michelle) Abramowski. He is further survived by three grandchildren: Jordan Williamson and Matthew and Emilia Vaughan, four siblings: Daniel (Mary) Abramowski, Debra (Jim) Rieck, Denise (Ron) Larson and Dale (Lina) Abramowski, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. David was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Megan Abramowski. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20th, 2020 at 1 PM, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington. A time of gathering will precede the service at the funeral home from 11 AM - 1 PM. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.
