Darrin Joss, age 45 of Chicago IL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Darrin was born in Dubuque, IA on April 3, 1970. Darrin graduated from Dubuque Senior in 1988 and was a graduate from the University of Iowa, where he obtained a degree in Economics. He began his career as a trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He later moved on to trading at the Chicago Board of Trade and then formed the Joss Group Trading. Darrin fulfilled his dream of building his own trading group through hard work and perseverance. He enjoyed sports and was a proud Hawkeye, Cubs and Vikings fan. Darrin was caring and compassionate, lending a hand to anyone in need. Darrin loved his dog Hawki, she was a great companion and always at his side. Darrin is survived by his mother Carolyn (nee Happe) Joss of Grafton, WI and father Kenneth Joss of Belle Plaine, IA: sister Andrea (Mike) Jewett: brothers Neil (Molly) Joss and Stephen Joss: nieces and nephews Ben Jewett, Sara Jewett, Alexa Joss and Tyler Joss. Darrin is further survived by Gloria Sibanda and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at St. Francis Borgia (1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, WI 53021) at 12:00 PM with Father Tom Eichenberger presiding. Visitation will be held at the Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Immediately following the Mass the family invites friends and family to a luncheon in the church gathering hall. Interment will take place at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to the Neurofibromatosis Midwest www.nfmidwest.org.
