Mrs. Darlene Wagner, of the Town of Saukville, passed away at her residence early Wednesday morning, March 21, 2018. She was 73 years old. Darlene was born in Milwaukee on January 18, 1945, daughter of Raymond and Lorraine Magoch Learned. She grew up in Fredonia and attended local schools, graduating from Grafton High School. Ms. Learned worked as a secretary for Gilson Brothers Foundry in Fredonia and had also modeled for the Patricia Stevens agency. On November 5, 1966 Darlene was united in marriage with Gerald Wagner at St. Rose Catholic Church in Fredonia. The couple settled in Waubeka and later moved to Saukville in 1981. Mrs. Wagner had worked part-time in the jewelry department at Walmart in Saukville and loved helping other people pick out fun items to wear. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter and spending time with her grandson. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her daughter Raquel McCarthy of West Allis, grandson Jonathon McCarthy of Saukville, brother Wayne Learned of Rosendale, sister Maxine (Ed) Stefaniak of Muskego, brother-in-law Neil (JoAnn) Wagner of Fredonia and sister-in-law JoAnn (the late Leander) Kultgen of Random Lake. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Darlene was preceded by her husband on September 10, 2017. At her request, cremation has taken place. A short gathering to remember Darlene and Jerry will take place at 11AM on May 18, 2018, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street in Union Grove, followed by Military Honors.
