Darlene Glander, of Saukville, passed away in the afternoon hours of Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Heritage Health Services in Port Washington where she had been a resident. She was 86 years old.
Darlene was born in Random Lake on August 15, 1932, daughter of Edward Best and Clara Pierron Best. Darlene was a member of St. John XXIII Parish (Immaculate Conception Church), where she was formerly a member of the Christian Women. She was a member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, a past president of the Grafton Bowling League, the Saukville Seniors, and the Gateway to Snow Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling and going swimming at the Feith Family YMCA.
Darlene is survived by her three sons: Dale (Tammy) Glander of Grafton, Scott Glander of Cudahy, and Gary Glander of Port Washington. She is further survived by five grandchildren: Derrick Glander, Elysha (John) Fortino, Amanda Glander and Ryan (Esfir) Glander, six great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her dear friend of over 50 years Lorraine Baley and her sister Kathleen "Connie" Grasse and her nieces Karen, Peggy, Sandy and Geri Ann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 19th at 4 PM at St. John XXIII Parish, Immaculate Conception Church, Saukville. Father Pat Wendt will preside over Mass. A time of gathering will take place at the church on Tuesday the 19th from 3-4 PM.
She will be inurned at St. Mary's Parish Cemetery in Port Washington.,
