Darlene Eischen, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Random Lake on January 23, 2024. She was 77 years old.
Darlene was born on July 5, 1946, in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of Elmer and Lorraine (nee Pfeifer) Bruesewitz. She grew up in the Beechwood/Batavia area, and attended Random Lake High School, graduating with the class of 1964. She then pursued her passion for cosmetology at a school in Milwaukee.
Darlene married the love of her life, George Eischen, on February 3, 1968, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. Together, they enjoyed a peaceful and fulfilling country life, filled with cherished memories and a strong foundation of love. While her career path may have taken a different turn, she embraced her role as a homemaker wholeheartedly, dedicating herself to creating a warm and loving home for her family.
Darlene was a longtime and faithful member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Parish (St. Nicholas Church) in Dacada, and was very active in the Christian Women's Society, planning and serving hundreds of funeral lunches over the years.
In her spare time, Darlene enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, gardening and reading. Her utmost priority was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she poured her heart and soul into valuing and cherishing each precious moment she spent with them.
Darlene is survived by her children Chris (Steve) Jungers and Paul Eischen, both of Random Lake, five grandchildren; Matthew (Amanda) Jungers, Adam (Celia) Jungers, Brandon Jungers, Jared Jungers and Jacob Eischen, two great-grandchildren Logan and Elowen. She is further survived by her sisters Audrey Bruesewitz and Marjorie Murphy, three brothers-in-law James (Mary) Eischen and William (Sharon) Eischen of Random Lake, Donald (Myra) Eischen of Cascade, sisters-in-law Rosemary (Douglas) Seyfert of Fredonia, and Linda Bruesewitz of Ladysmith, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, her father and mother-in-law, her brother Jerry Bruesewitz, and two grandchildren Alan and Emily.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 1 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada. Father Don Thimm will preside over the Mass.
Visitation for Darlene will take place at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada on Friday, February 2nd, from 11 AM to the time of Mass.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband George in St. Nicholas Parish Cemetery in Dacada.
