Obituary

Daniel "Danny" Lemmermann, of Germantown, beloved father, grandfather and brother, passed away at his residence in the evening hours of Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was 75 years old.

Danny was born in Milwaukee on October 19, 1949, the son of Edward and Margaret (nee Furtmann) Lemmermann. Daniel graduated from Milwaukee West Division High School with the class of 1967, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to service and camaraderie. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted into the United States Marine Corps, serving his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Daniel's commitment to his nation reflected his strong values and deep sense of patriotism. After his service, he devoted 30 years of his life to Briggs and Stratton, retiring in 1997 as a Floor Supervisor, and leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Danny was a lifelong member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Parish in Milwaukee.

A man of many interests, Daniel had a profound love for golf and spent countless hours on the course, perfecting his swing and enjoying the outdoors. He was also an avid fan of Wisconsin sports teams, showing unwavering support for his favorites. Additionally, Daniel challenged his mind with crossword puzzles and found joy in bowling and playing slow-pitch softball.

Daniel's passion for the game of softball extended beyond his own enjoyment, as he dedicated his time to coaching girls' softball in Germantown during the summer. His positivity and dedication inspired countless young athletes, and his impact in the community will be cherished by many.

Danny is survived by his daughter Michelle (Chad) Brakke, and his four grandchildren; Calvin and Cooper Boese, and Madisyn and Hailey Brakke.  He is further survived by his four siblings: Elaine Ladicks, Tom (the late Carol) Lemmermann, Gerald (Rosie) Lemmermann, and Janet (Jilles) Wetselaar, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Margaret, and siblings Margaret Lemmermann and Eddie (the late Judy) Lemmermann.

Visitation for Danny will take place starting at 11 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Parish, 3970 N. 92nd St., Milwaukee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the church at 12 noon. Father Patrick Nelson will preside over the Mass.

He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Southern Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI, at a later date.
