Obituary

DANIEL J. EDMINSTER Mr. Dan Edminster of Birch Road in the Town of Port Washington passed away unexpectedly at Columbia- St. Maryrsquo;s Ozaukee Campus in Mequon on Friday evening July 3 2009.nbsp; He was 70 years old.nbsp; Daniel was born at the family home in New London WI along with his twin brother David on December 1 1938 son of James M. and Wilma C. (nee Bult) Edminster.nbsp; He received his engineering degree from MSOE and became an electrical engineer. On November 27 1958 he was united in marriage with Carol Mae Ludtke at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London.nbsp; The couple raised six children together. Dan had worked with many companies in the area such as Briggs amp; Stratton and Doerr Electric but retired as an executive with General Industrial in Bald Knob AR in 1999.nbsp; Dan and Carol had lived in many different states each time returning to Wisconsin.nbsp; Most recently they had moved to Arkansas in 1995 and returned back home to Wisconsin after Danrsquo;s retirement.nbsp; Mr. Edminster was a member of St. Josephrsquo;s Catholic Church in Grafton. nbsp;Although he had always been a bit of a work-a-holic Dan had enjoyed hunting and bowling when he was younger. An avid golfer he also was quite a handy-man and enjoyed tinkering.nbsp; Mostly he just liked to keep busy.nbsp; His wife and children always held the top spot in his heart however no matter how busy he was. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Carol and their six children: Debra (William Kratz) Nielsen of Port Washington Michael (Kimberly) Edminster of Grafton Margaret (Gary) Dorman of Opp AL Lisa (Michael) Lecher of Grafton William (Julie) Edminster of Appleton and Danyelle (Richard Needham) Edminster of Port Washington.nbsp; He is further survived by 18 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren his sister Janice (Richard) Fritz of New London and his twin brother David (Barbara) Edminster of Havana AR.nbsp; Dan is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law nieces nephews other relatives and many friends.nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother James B. Edminster.nbsp; Funeral servicesnbsp;will be held at 3PMnbsp;on Wednesday July 8th at the Eernisse Funeral Home.nbsp; Father James Ernster will officiate.nbsp; The family will recieve visitors at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-3PM.nbsp; Memorials are suggested in his name to the National Parkinson Foundation.br /Service:br /p3:00 PM at Eernisse Funeral Home 1600 W.
