Daniel "Danny", Lee Arndt, age 79 of Camp Awana Road in the Town of Farmington, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Daniel was born on August 9, 1937 in Fredonia to Marvin and Eleanor (nee Knuth) Arndt. He was united in marriage to Judy Schneider on May 26, 1962 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Daniel enjoyed pig roasts, farming, hunting, traveling and was an active member of the Tri-County Pork Producers (former President of 15 years), Fillmore Fire Department (Social member) and a 4-H Woodworking Leader. Daniel generously donated eggs to the family sharing and Zion United Methodist Church.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 54 years Judy, sons Michael (Mary) Arndt and Curtis (Sharon) Arndt both of Fredonia, daughter Joanne (Dale) of Fredonia, grandchildren: Dylon, Kristen (Jordan), Harleigh, Emma, Beau, Jackson, Clayton, Haley and Tucker brother Howard (Suzie) Arndt of Belgium, sisters Geraine Eisentrut of Waupaca and Sylvia Yoho of Random Lake and sister-in-law, Kathy Arndt and his dog Daisy. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert (Kathern) Arndt, Armin (Janet) Arndt, Martin Arndt, sister Letha (Robert) Leclaire, son-in-law Scott Haag, sister-on-law Margaret "Boots" Arndt and brothers-in-law Dean Yoho and Elwood "Joe" Eisentraut.
A Funeral Service for Daniel will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Zion United Methodist Church (N1667 State Road 28 Batavia, WI 53001). Pastor Ellis "Hap" Itson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 4:00 PM. Interment will take place at Zion Cemetery in Batavia on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Zion United Methodist Church or the Tri-County Pork Producers Scholarship. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee for the care they provided.
