Dale F. Greenwood
Dale Greenwood, age 85 years of Wabeno (Carter), formerly of Saukville, WI, passed away at his residence Tuesday evening, April 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 4, 1934 in Iron Mountain, MI, son of the late John and Mae (O'Connor) Greenwood. Dale served in the U.S. Air Force and on January 10, 1959, he married Jean Stern at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Dale worked as an assembler at Scot Pump in Cedarburg, retiring in 1989 and moving to their home in Carter. Dale was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend where he sang in the choir. He was also an avid fisherman, enjoyed cutting firewood, and was an all-around handyman. Dale was an active member of American Legion Sylvan Post 44 in Wabeno. Survivors include his wife Jean, five children: Michele Peszko of Saukville, Mark (Trudy) Greenwood of Grafton, Michael (Sarah) Greenwood , also of Grafton, Melissa (Jack) Forman of Fox Lake and Nancy (Dale) Zorn Micke of De Pere, 10 grandchildren: Jennifer Yenor, Amanda Greenwood, Nathan Gerrits, Matthew Greenwood, Paul Gerrits, Bryon Greenwood, Jonathan Peszko, Loren Gerrits, Kendall Gerrits and Grayson Greenwood. He is further survived by five great grandchildren: Zachary, Caiden, Ariana, Anika, and Lilly, and his brother Terry (Nancy) Greenwood of Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Leroy. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 12 noon at St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend with Pastor Stephen Mueller officiating. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Wednesday from 10AM until services at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund or St. John Stained Glass Fund appreciated.
