Mr. Dale Egerer of Fredonia passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 2, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton following a short illness. He was 69 years old. Dale was born in Port Washington on January 10, 1949, son of Edgar and Elsa Beimborn Egerer. He attended local schools and graduated from Port Washington High School, Class of 1967. On May 23, 1970, Dale was united in marriage with Bonnie Goehring at Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia. The couple lived in Waubeka and Adell before building a home in Fredonia in 1976. Mr. Egerer owned a dump-truck and ran "Clos-E-Nuff Trucking" for many years. In his younger years, he was quite adventurous and enjoyed hobbies such as scuba diving, horseback riding, playing baseball, hunting and fishing. Dale had always been a "Mr. Fixer" and had numerous projects running at once: wrenching on cars (most recently he had been restoring a 1937 Chevy pickup truck), landscaping projects with his skid-loader, and building projects such as the cabin he built in Bayfield County were just a few among many. His spark of wit and humor brightened up the world around him, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife Bonnie and their children Mindy (Doug) Miller of Random Lake and Matthew Egerer (girlfriend Samantha Verhage) of Batavia. He is further survived by grandchildren Christopher, Haley and Faith Miller, all of Random Lake, sisters Wendy Park of Spring, TX and Lori (Dale) Moeller of Cedarburg, brother-in-law Dennis Dickmann of Conroe, TX, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by son Christopher, infant daughter Angel, parents Edgar and Elsa, and sister Faye Dickmann. A Memorial Service will be held at 7PM on Tuesday, October 9th at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday at the Funeral Home from 4-7PM.
