DALE D. PLZAK Mr. Dale Plzak of Washington Ave. in Fredonia passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 3 2015 at Aurora Medical Center Grafton. He was 84 years old. Dale was born in Antigo on May 6 1931 son of Arthur and Thelma Tucker Plzak. Dale attended local schools graduating from Athens High School in 1949. He served proudly in the Merchant Marines for about 6 years sailing on both the Great Lakes and in the South Pacific. Dale was united in marriage with Phyllis Markgraf on February 16 1957 in Antigo. The couple later moved to Belgium and then bought a home in Fredonia in 1962. Mr. Plzak worked at Bolen's Manufacturing in Port Washington retiring in 1995 after 37 years on the job. He was a Gold Card member of IAM Local 1430 District 10 as well as being a member of Divine Savior Parish the National American Legion Post and Great Lakes Fish Club - Ozaukee Chapter. Dale loved being on the water and was passionate about fishing. Time spent aboard his boat The Fish Snapper with his sons and fishing buddies was always time well spent. Mr. Plzak also enjoyed deerhunting gardening and the Green Bay Packers; the entire family was in attendance at the Ice Bowl and have many colorful memories about the game. Dale is survived by his wife Phyllis of Fredonia and their son Todd of Random Lake. Further survivors include his sister Patricia (Ed) Fick of Antigo brothers-in-law Robert Pesl of King Richard (Kathy) Pesl of Antigo and George (Donna) Pesl of Rhinelander nieces nephews other relatives friends and a special dog named Beau. He is preceded in death by his son Terry his parents step-father Douglas Klever brother Robert (the late Jeannie) Plzak and sister-in-law Mary (the late Ron) Schoblaska. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Monday June 8th at Divine Savior Holy Cross Chapel. Father Guy Gurath will preside. Dale will be laid to rest at St. Rose Cemetery beside his son. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Monday from 10-11AM.
