Curtis J. Verish passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was 87 years old. Curtis was born on January 15, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James and Adele (nee Schnittke) Verish. Curtis was united in marriage to his wife Marilyn "Mousie" (nee Wick) on Valentine's Day in 1953. Curtis was a dedicated District Manager for American Family Insurance Company up until his retirement in 1993 after 30 years of service. Curtis enjoyed spending time at his vacation home on Long Lake in Mercer, Wisconsin. He loved being outdoors bird watching, boating and soaking up the sun. Curtis traveled throughout the years for work as well as with his family. He had a very fulfilling and enjoyable life. He will be missed greatly. Curtis is survived by his children: Victoria (Lawrence) Desmarais, Gina (David) Herian, Sandra Hickey and Jay (Cheryle) Verish, grandchildren: Nicole (Brian) Pesch, Megan (Robert) Rush, Sandra Herian, Katie (Jon) Bjerning, James Herian, Victoria Herian, Venessa Herian, Daniel Herian, Marie Herian, Timothy Herian, Mark Herian, Alek Verish, Jessalynn Verish and Joshua Verish, great-grandchildren: Madelyn and Gabrielle Pesch, Olivine and Abilene Rush and brother-in-law Aldredge Doege. He is further survived by many relatives and friends. Curtis is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn "Mousie" Verish and his parents. A visitation to celebrate Curtis' life will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017. The family will receive visitors from 4-7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home 1167 Washington Avenue Cedarburg, WI 53012.
