IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Constance V. "Connie"
Stieber
January 15, 1925 – September 2, 2022
Constance V. Stieber entered into Eternal Life on Friday, September 2 at the age of 97. Connie and her husband, Frederick, were married in the summer of 1948. She is preceded in death by her husband, sister, Gloria Vogl, and mother and father, Alvin and Constance Daniels. She is survived by her brother, Robert, and sister-in-law, Jean.
Connie and Fritz were loving and dedicated parents of four children: Maribeth Starr (Brian) Cedarburg, WI; David (Robin) Colorado Springs, CO; Jeffrey (Jeana) Lake Ozark, MO; and Dr. Scott (Diane) Lititz, PA. She had a deep love for her children and 12 grandchildren: Erin Stieber (Pablo Mercado), Chelsea Stieber (Michael Lewis), Molly Stieber (Alex Schwartz), Lindsey Stieber; Matthew Starr, Nicholas Starr, Caden Starr; Mark Stieber, Scott (Sara) Ewert; Christopher Stieber, David Stieber (Sarah Fredrick), and Andrew Stieber; 5 great grandchildren: Millie and Clara Mercado, Frederick Lewis, and Dade and Nell Ewert. Two more great grandchildren are expected soon.
Connie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Education. Connie began her teaching career at Port Washington High School and then continued to serve as a dedicated teacher for 28 years at MATC.
Connie was a loving and encouraging mother and grandmother, instilling within them the value of their advanced education. She took enormous pride in her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. Connie and Fritz were both involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for many years, and their three sons all achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Connie's sons all joke that it is more accurate to state that she became an Eagle Scout three times.
Connie always thought about other people and their needs before her own. She also saw the good in everyone and personified unconditional love. She was a gentle, peaceful spirit and touched others in a special way. She will be cherished and remembered as a loving, caring wife and mother, and an adoring grandmother and great grandmother. Connie will be forever in our hearts and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 15 from 4-5:30 at St. Francis Borgia Church – North, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 5:30 pm. Father Matthew Ferch will preside.
Connie's family would like to thank the CNAs and staff in the memory care unit at Newcastle Place for their love, care, and compassion over the last several years. Memorials in Connie's name to the Boy Scouts of America would be welcome and appreciated.
The Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements; online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
