Obituary

Connie Eernisse, of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully at home with her family on April 14th, 2025, her 70th birthday.

Connie was born in Port Washington, WI, on April 14th, 1955, the daughter of the late Gerhard F. and Anita A. (Nee Wolfgram) Kringel. Connie was a 1973 graduate of Grafton High School. After high school Connie worked as a beautician at Jean's Style Salon in Cedarburg, where she would reconnect with her grade school classmate, and Jean's son, Dennis Eernisse. Connie and Dennis were united in marriage on October 10th, 1981, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, where they had both attended grade school.

Shortly after buying their first home in West Bend, they were blessed to learn that their family would soon be growing. Connie was a loving and devoted mother to her son Ross. After several years in West Bend, they moved back to Cedarburg to be closer to family and friends. Connie would continue to work full time at Jean's, and then later for herself. Connie retired as a beautician after 46 years in 2019.

Connie loved to travel, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and sharing her favorite recipes. She traveled to Europe and the Caribbean with her friends when she was younger and returned years later, with her husband Dennis. Italy was her favorite, with Ireland running a close second. Those who knew Connie best will remember her infectious laughter.

Connie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Dennis, her loving son Ross, sister Sandra (Don) Steinman, nieces Kimberly (Jason) Christianson, Meghan Beverung, and Heidi Gunderson; nephews Jeremy (Karin), Timothy (Hollie), and Terry (Lori) Steinman, Chad (Jalane), and Adam (Megan) Gunderson; great-nieces Madison (Jed) Hallstrand, Olivia, Julia, Sophia, and Ruthie Steinman, and Kylie Jones; great-nephews Grady, Landon, Wyatt, and Adler Steinman, Bo and Jax Christianson, Preston Jones, Aiden Beverung, and Par Gunderson, and great-great-nephew Bridger. She is further survived by sisters-in-law Pamela (Larry) Beverung and Monique Eernisse, brother-in-law James Gunderson, and cherished friends and extended family.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Vicki Kringel, brother-in-law John Eernisse, sister-in-law Donna Gunderson, and cherished aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Funeral services for Connie will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St., Grafton. Visitation at the church will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, with the funeral service starting at 1 PM.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery in Grafton.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Aurora at Home Hospice Milwaukee North for their care and dedication.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to a cancer charity of your choice, hug your loved ones, and make time to laugh.
