Clara M. Newmann of Port Washington, age 88, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024. She was born June 18, 1935, in Saukville, Wisconsin to the late Rudolph and Clara (Carpenter) Miller.

On July 2, 1955, Clara was united in marriage to Lambert Newmann at Saukville Immaculate Conception and remained married until July of 2007.

Her life was a tapestry of kindness, creativity, and love. She found solace in crafting, sewing, crocheting, and knitting, using her skilled hands to weave beauty into the world around her. With a heart as warm as her handmade creations, Clara had a special affinity for cats and dogs, finding joy and comfort in their companionship. She also found freedom and peace in aimless drives, cherishing the simple pleasure of exploring without a destination in mind.

Clara's loving family includes her son John Newmann (deceased) of Port Washington, her daughter Gailmary Newmann of Thiensville, her stepdaughter Shirley (Richard) Minga of Greendale, her granddaughter Joyce (Mike) (nee Newmann) White, step grandchildren Anne and Ellen Minga, her great grandchildren; Adrian White, Hannah and Zoey Nevdorfer, her siblings; Leonard (Carol) Miller of Milwaukee and Irene (Robert) Duschenski of Oshkosh. Along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her siblings; Arnold (Elaine), Paul (Juanita), Donald (Reba), Ralph (June), Theodore (Anne), Grace (Benjamin) Melichar, Ruth (Donald) Grady and Emiily (Jim) May.

A memorial service will be held on at 6:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave, Cedarburg. The family will greet guests from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
