Mr. Chris Lesar, of the Town of Cedarburg, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, December 17, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center- Grafton. He was 57 years old.
Chris was born in Milwaukee on September 8, 1960, son of Mark and Sharon Spowart Lesar. When he was six, the family moved to Baraboo. Chris attended local schools, graduating from Baraboo High School Class of 1978. He went on to attend UW Madison and earned his bachelors degree in operations research and management. On March 24, 1990 Christopher was united in marriage with Vicki Wenzel at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Port Washington. The couple settled in Saukville before moving to Cedarburg in 1999.
As an experienced sales and marketing leader, Mr. Lesar was a Senior Account Manager at TIP Technologies in Waukesha. Prior to that, he had worked Callidus Cloud at their Milwaukee branch.
Chris was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan and cheered on the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Bucks when he wasn't cheering on his boys in wrestling or his daughter at volleyball. When he was younger, he often coached his kids' teams; lacrosse, baseball, volleyball and basketball teams all benefitting from his time and dedication. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, often being their jungle gym or climbing tree, but always being their best buddy.
Chris is survived by his wife Vicki, their children Brandon (Cree) Lesar of Oostburg, Carly Lesar of Hanford, CA, and Dylan Lesar of Stevens Point, grandchildren Bryson and Amelya of Oostburg and parents Mark & Sharon Lesar of Baraboo. He is further survived by brothers Peter (Shirley) Lesar of Mesa, AZ and Matthew (Karen) Lesar of Elm Grove, brothers- and sisters-in-law Guy (Christine) Wenzel of West Bend, Mark (Kathy) Wenzel of Port Washington, Cindy (Bill) Large of Belgium, Kari (Glen) Beder of Newburg, Becky (Greg) Werner of West Bend, and Gale (Joey) Sigler of Fredonia, as well as numerous nieces & nephews, other family and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2PM on Thursday, December 21st, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg. Father Patrick Burns will preside. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Thursday, December 21st from 12 noon until time of services at 2PM. There will be a reception in the church hall following Mass.
Memorials, if desired, are suggested in lieu of flowers.
