Christine M. Lapinski Mrs. Christine Lapinski formerly of Dacada passed away Tuesday morning May 3 2011 at Cedar Grove Gardens where she had resided the last 4 years. She was 81 years old. Christine was born February 18 1930 in Athens WI the daughter of Theodore and Lauretta Sommers Nowacki. She was united in marriage with Raymond Lapinski on October 28 1950 and last year they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple operated a farm in Dacada for 40 years. Raymond preceded Christine in death in November of 2010. Christine was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada where she was a member of the Christian Mother's Society. She was an excellent cook loved to bake and always had a large garden from which she preserved fruits and vegetables of all kinds. Her children and grandchildren will always cherish the quilts and clothing that she made for them. Christine is survived by five children: Beverly (Charles) Hein of Random Lake Nancy (Robert) Risser of Waterford Raymond (Bonnie) Lapinski of Belgium Mary (Michael) Mueller of Random Lake and Barbara (Duane) Legler of Cedar Grove. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren 2 brothers: Herbert (Mary) Nowacki of Sheboygan Norbert Nowacki of Athens 3 sisters: Betty (Jake) Rogaczewski of Athens Helen (Delmar) Dassow of Medford and Patsy (Earl) Sticka of Chilton 2 sisters-in-law: Helen Nowacki of Menomonee and Ann Lapinski of Marshfield nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond parents Theodore and Lauretta and her brother Albert Nowacki. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6PM on Friday May 6 at Our Lady of the Lakes St. Nicholas Chapel in Dacada. She will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at St. Nicholas Chapel from 3-6PM on Friday evening. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Nicholas Home Health and Hospice. The Eernisse Funeral Home Belgium is assisting the family with arrangements.
