IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christine Anne
Gridley
August 10, 1952 – March 9, 2026
Christine Gridley, of Grafton and formerly of Plant City, Florida, passed peacefully into eternal rest on the evening of Monday, March 9, 2026, at Village Pointe Commons in Grafton. She was 73 years old.
Born on August 10, 1952, in Sheboygan, Christine was the beloved daughter of Karl and Doris (née Gessert) Schulz. She was raised in Neenah, WI, and graduated with the Neenah High School Class of 1970. She went on to attend the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 1975—beginning a lifelong vocation of caring for others.
Christine dedicated many years to her work in hospitals throughout the Milwaukee area before making her home in Plant City, Florida. There, she continued her calling in a nursing home setting for over 25 years, touching countless lives with her compassion and gentle spirit. Following her retirement, she returned to Wisconsin in November of 2018.
A woman of deep faith, Christine was an active and devoted member of her church community in Plant City. She found great joy in gardening and had a tender heart for animals, often opening her home to stray dogs and cats in need of love and care. She was also a passionate sports fan, faithfully cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Christine will be lovingly remembered by her brother Steve Schulz, her stepmother Mary Schulz, her nephew and niece, Brian and Michelle Schulz, her dear friend MJ Phillips, and many other relatives and friends whose lives she enriched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Doris Schulz.
In accordance with Christine’s wishes, private family services will be held.
She will be laid to rest at St. Lucas Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
The Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington is honored to serve Christine’s family. Those wishing to express their condolences may do so online.
