Christine E. Bunyan of Grafton passed away at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital, Milwaukee on the afternoon of Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born the beloved daughter of Vincent and Marion (Boelter) in Milwaukee on February 28, 1945.

Chris graduated from St. Joan Antida High School and UWM-Milwaukee. She met William "Bill" Bunyan while he was stationed in Milwaukee with the US Navy and they were united in marriage on February 24, 1968, in Bethesda, MD. The couple settled in Milwaukee where they began their family. They later moved to Janesville and eventually to Port Washington.

Chris enjoyed playing bridge at the Port Washington Senior Center. She was an avid reader and especially loved a good mystery. Chris was beautiful inside and out. She lived a selfless life and often gave of herself to help others in need. Above all, her family and especially her grandchildren were her true passion. She followed her grandchildren's adventures and sporting endeavors with support and love.

She leaves behind her devoted children William (Rhonda) Bunyan Jr., of Middleton, Julie (Neil) Walkoff of St. Louis, MO, John (Sheri) Bunyan of Port Washington, Laura Bunyan, also of St. Louis, MO, and Matthew (Stephanie) Bunyan of Las Vegas, NV; adored grandchildren Anna, Maggie, Samantha, Michael, Cooper, Jack, Jake Abby and Grace; brothers Duane (Hannelorie) Catania and David (Jean) Catania. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents and husband William.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at St. John XXIII Catholic Parish – St. Mary's Church site, 451 N. Johnson St. Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 10:00-12:00pm. Chris will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
