Chester Wisinski of Port Washington passed away in his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the age of 85. Chester was born to Alois and Margaret (nee Wojtalewicz) Wisinski in Stevens Point on March 15, 1932. He married Leona Ganski on August 30, 1958 at St. Ladislaus, Bevent, WI and together they had 2 children.
Chester was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. He enjoyed bowling, playing sheepshead and taking trips to the casinos to play the slots. He loved road trips with his family and especially loved spending time with his great-grandkids. Chester retired from Continental Can after 41 years of dedicated service and spent another 20 years at EVS Saukville driving cars. Chester belonged to the Saukville Moose Lodge for several years. He was a longtime member of St. John XXIII Parish – St. Peter of Alcantara Church in Port Washington. Chester will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Chester leaves behind his loving wife Leona, his children, Dale (Terry) Wisinski, and Robin (Mark) Schmidt; grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Borden, Carrie (fiancée Andrew) Wisinski, Lee (Amy) Wisinski and Melissa Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Ava and Lola Schmidt and Gabriel Wisinski; siblings, Gladys (Clarence) Pampuch, Irene Skiba, Ernie (Mary) Wisinski, Donny (Cathy) Wisinski, Mary (Clifford) Phlugardt, Lenny (Dorothy) Wisinski; brother-in-law, Mike (Ellen) Ganski; sister-in-law, Loretta Ganski. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Terry Yenter; mother and father-in-law, Frank and Dora Ganski; brothers-in-law, Hubert Yenter and Reynold Skiba.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at St. John XXIII Parish - St. Peter of Alcantara Church with Father Pat Wendt presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH from 3:00PM until the time of service. Military Honors to follow the service. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Port Washington the following day.
