IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles J. "Chuck"
Norman
August 25, 1945 – January 6, 2026
Charles "Chuck" Norman, of Port Washington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home. He was 80 years old.
Chuck was born on August 25, 1945, in Port Washington, the son of Clarence and Agnes (née Becker) Normann. He grew up on the family farm in Grafton, where he learned the value of hard work, self-reliance, and getting things done right the first time. He attended Grafton High School and carried those early lessons with him throughout his life.
On June 11, 1966, Chuck married the love of his life, Patricia "Pat" Carter. Together they built a life centered on family, commitment, and plenty of laughter. Their 59 years of marriage were a testament to devotion, partnership, and shared memories.
Chuck worked for 43 years at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac as a tow-motor driver. He was proud of his work and known for his reliability and strong work ethic—traits that defined him both on and off the job.
He was a faithful member of St. John XXIII Parish in Port Washington and enjoyed the camaraderie of the Green Felt Club at the Port Washington Senior Center. Chuck never sat still for long. He loved stock car racing, spending time working outdoors, woodworking, playing with his great-granddaughter Payton, and cheering on football, especially his beloved Indianapolis Colts.
Above all else, Chuck cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; his daughter, Wendy Cantrall; two granddaughters, Randi (James) Mac Donald and Shelby (Alex) Giles; and two great-grandchildren, Payton and J.J., who brought him endless pride and joy. He is further survived by his brothers, John (Jane) and Allan (Joanne) Normann; his sisters, Mary (Richard) Albinger, Beverly (the late Larry) Miller, and Karen (Rick) Holler; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a wide circle of friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Agnes Normann, and his brother, Joseph (the late Julie) Normann.
