CATHERINE LEE SCHOMMER "Katie" Ms. Catherine Schommer passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015. She was 29 years old. Catherine- named for her grandmother Catherine Lee Raye - was born in Milwaukee on January 27, 1986, daughter of Alan & Linda Baumann Schommer. She grew up in the Waubeka area and attended local schools, graduating from Northern Ozaukee High School in 2004 and going on to complete her Bachelors of Nursing Degree from UW Milwaukee in 2008. Katie worked as an RN at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, and recently had shifted careers and taken a position at Wauwatosa Day Care. Ms. Schommer loved fishing and being on the water. Katie had an affinity for Lake Michigan and the Port Washington area; she had lived in Port for three years and had planned to moved back this coming June. Survivors include her parents Al & Linda Schommer, brother Kurt (Racheal) Schommer, and special niece Laurlei, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles cousins and many friends. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
