Catherine Margaret Cone (nee Blum), age 90, passed away peacefully at Alexian Village in Milwaukee, WI., on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was born to Christ and Hazel (nee Bertz) Blum on December 2, 1926 in Fond Du Lac, WI. She married Dr. Herbert Cone on April 15, 1950 in Sheboygan, WI and together they had 2 children. Catherine grew up in Lannon, WI and graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 1945. She trained at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee to be an X-ray technician and graduated from that program in 1948. Catherine worked at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan from 1948-1974 and later worked at the Marsho Clinic from 1974-1987. She retired in 1987 and became a volunteer at Bethesda in Sheboygan. Catherine held several positions including treasurer with the St. Vincent DePaul Society through the Immaculate Conception Parish in Sheboygan. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society for several years as well as the T.O.P.S. club. Catherine is survived by her sons, Dale (Judith) Cone of Cedarburg and Terry (Lori) Cone of Huntington Beach, CA; sisters, Florence Blum of Milwaukee, Jeanette Ortmann of Phillips and Rosemary Blum of Waukesha. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan Cone, Tracy Elder, Jennifer Nyes and Taylor Cone; great-grandchildren, Kaelin Elder, Gavin Elder and Jude Nyes. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. Herbert Cone (12-20-13) and her brother Robert Blum. Services for Catherine will be held at a later date
