IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Ann
Schwandt
July 17, 1950 – August 8, 2025
Carol Ann Schwandt of Grafton passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born the beloved daughter of Glenn and Jeanette (Strietzel) Schwandt on July 17, 1950 in Milwaukee and was the older sister of Mary Jean Hammetter.
Carol received a Bachelot of Arts in 1972 in Elementary Education from Mount Mary College. She also received a Master of Arts in Education in 1998 from Aurora University.
She taught 3rd grade for over 40 years and thoroughly enjoyed her students at St. Francis Borgia in Cedarburg and St Alphonsus in Greendale. She believed in the benefits of an education.
Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed travel by air, land and sea--creating memory scrapbooks of every trip. She held these memories and frequently looked at these books until the end. Carol and Louise went on countless trips over the years and created a lifetime of memories. Her love for travel was truly inspiring.
Family was paramount to Carol, who treasured every moment spent with her out-of-state family. The holiday season—especially Christmas—was particularly meaningful to her, as it brought her family together for joyous celebrations and cherished memories. Carol was the most incredible Aunt to Rob Hammetter (Colorado) and triplets, Katie Bell (Oklahoma), Tom Hammetter (Colorado), and Shelly Rodemer (Colorado). She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews as well as her great nieces and nephews (12). Aunt Carol will truly be missed.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Village Point Assisted living and memory care and well as Lily Hospice for the wonderful care and support they provided to Carol and family.
