Carol Frances Schommer of Fredonia was born to Eternal Life on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was 89. Carol was born in Kewaskum to Joseph and Nellie (nee Mc Kee) Walters on January 22, 1933. She married Roman Schommer on November 10, 1951 in Milwaukee and together they had four children.
Carol enjoyed her job at American Can Company and retired after 32 years of dedicated service. She was an active member of the Fredonia American Legion Auxillary Post 410 and St. Rose Christian Mothers. Carol was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband and family. Carol made very special friends in the last three years at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake.
Carol is survived by her children Dennis (Pam) Schommer, Cindy (Mike) Glander, Fuzzy (Maureen) Schommer and Lynn (Brad) DeMaster; grandchildren Kelly (Adam) Wendelborn, Ryan DeMaster and Nathan (special friend Abby) DeMaster; brother-in-law Daniel (Darlene) Schommer; sisters-in-law Jean Klas, Mary Schommer, and Rita Kirst. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roman, her grandson Justin Glander; her brothers & their wives Donald (Joyce) Walters, Howard Walters, George (LaVerne) Walters; sister Myrtle Phillips.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:30PM on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 at Divine Savior Catholic Parish - Holy Cross Chapel (address). The family will receive visitors at the church from 2:30PM until the time of service. Carol will be laid to rest next to her husband Roman at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Fredonia.
