Carol R. Runkel Carol Runkel age 76 years of Grafton died Wednesday January 29 2014 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was born August 18 1937 in Cedarburg daughter of the late Allen and Verna Staewen Krueger. She was a 1955 graduate of Cedarburg High School. On November 21 1959 she married Franklin Runkel at Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Mrs. Runkel was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton for 47 years. She enjoyed gardening needlework traveling and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Franklin two daughters Wanda (Mitchell) Gappa of Coleman WI and Kim Ellen (Keith) Downer of West Bend three grandchildren Mevia Franklin and Clare three sisters Nancy Lange of Cedarburg Marlene (Rev. Paul) Baehmann of Marthasville MO and Mary (Doug) Anderle of Adell her brother Daniel Krueger of Plymouth nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother David Krueger. A memorial service will be held on Monday February 3 2014 1 PM at Grace Lutheran Church 715 6th Ave. Grafton. Inurnment will be at Zur Ruhe Cemetery Cedarburg. Visitation at the CHURCH Monday from 11 AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials to Grace Lutheran Church appreciated. The Eernisse Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Cedarburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
