Carol Peterson, born Carol Vixmer on February 19, 1940, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. She was the youngest of eight children, a place in the family that shaped her gentle heart, her quiet strength, and her lifelong instinct to care for others.

Carol graduated from Port Washington High School in 1958 and treasured the lifelong friendships she formed there. She especially loved attending her class reunions, where she could reconnect, reminisce, and share warm laughter with friends from years gone by.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Nancy, as well as her beloved sisters Dorothy and Rose, and her brother John. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael, and by her siblings Eleanor, Ruth, Gladys, and Clarence, all of whom she carried in her heart throughout her life.

Carol's true passion was simple and profound—she loved helping people. It was woven into everything she did. She was the person who showed up, who listened, who remembered, and who made others feel seen. Her kindness was not loud, but it was steady, and it touched countless lives.

Carol's life was defined by love—love for her family, love for her friends, and love shown through small acts of care that meant more than she ever realized. Her gentle spirit and warm presence will be deeply missed.
