Carol M. Meyer of Fredonia passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Forest Haven. She was 92 years old.
Carol was born on April 11, 1932, daughter of the late William and Hilaria (Leonhard) Dreps. On August 19, 1950, she married Joseph Meyer at St. John's Catholic Church in Kohler, WI. The couple farmed in the Town of Fredonia.
Throughout her life, Carol found joy in simple pleasures. She spent countless hours working on puzzles and playing cards, always with a smile on her face. One of her greatest joys was creating Afghan blankets for her family, a labor of love that brought warmth and comfort to her loved ones. She took great pride in making blankets and pillows for each of her grandchildren when they entered the world, ensuring they were wrapped in her love from the very beginning. She was a hardworking and dedicated homemaker, whose quick wit and warm smile endeared her to all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her 3 sons; Nicholas (Jean) of West Bend, Bernard (Linda) of Maribel, and Andrew (Shelly) of Fredonia, 3 daughters; Rita (Ronald) Wiedmeyer of Theresa, Dororthy (Gary) Langenecker of Allenton and Judy (Ronald) Bauer of Mayville, her daughter-in-law, Jane Meyer of Kewaskum, 26 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, her sister Mary Ann Meyer and brother-in-law, Eugene Meyer.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Meyer, her son Vincent, her sister Rose Rumpff, maternal parents Hilaria and William Dreps, paternal parents, Gilbert, and Rose Meyer, two grandsons, Matthew Meyer, and Adam Langencker, along with many other brothers and sisters-in-law.
