Obituary

Mrs. Carol Kringel passed away Friday February 28 2014 at Ellen's Home in Port Washington surrounded by her family. She was 80 years old. Carol was born March 29 1933 in Milwaukee the daughter of Lambert and Mildred Pollnow Hoffmann. On June 7 1952 she was united in marriage with Marvin Kringel at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. Marvin preceded her in death in 2006. Carol worked at Leeson Electric in Grafton retiring in 1995 after 22 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington where she had been active with the Women's Missionary League the stewardship committee and had served as the church librarian. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and enjoyed sewing knitting quilting swimming cake decorating polka dancing and playing sheepshead and hand-and-foot with the friends in her card clubs. Carol is survived by her children: Judi (Craig) Stewart of Port Washington Bonnie Kringel of VA Terry (Michelle) Kringel of West Bend and Todd (special friend Joanne) of Plymouth. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren brother Glenn (Carol) Hoffmann of Newburg brothers-in-law Franklin (Nancy) Kringel of West Bend and Arno Jobs of Saukville sisters-in-law Anita (Donald) Franzen of Grafton and Mildred Kringel of Cedarburg nieces nephews other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents brother Lambert Hoffmann and sister Joan (Walter) Lewin. Funeral Services will be held at 7PM on Friday March 7 at St. John's Lutheran Church 217 N. Freeman Dr. in Port Washington with Pastor John Klieve officiating. Carol will be laid to rest beside Marvin at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. John's Church or the Southeastern WI Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to thank the staff of Ellen's Home for their compassionate and loving care. The Eernisse Funeral Home Port Washington is honored to be serving the family.
