IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol J.
Hoffman
March 9, 1931 – July 17, 2025
Carol was born into this world to Robert and Edith (nee Laskowski) Eisch on March 9, 1931, in her grandparents' farmhouse, which was located in Seymour, WI. She had many happy memories of the time spent on that farm. She graduated from East High School in Green Bay and went to work at Brown County General Motors working as a bookkeeper. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Don Hoffman. They would go on to spend 58 loving years together, raising a family and making a home in Thiensville, WI.
Carol loved being a consummate homemaker, provided a welcoming environment for her kids' friends to spend time drinking Kool-Aid and enjoying all forms of Hostess snack products. She gave much of her free time to her church, St. Cecilia, working and organizing a longstanding holiday fundraiser called Tinsel Town. She also volunteered at the parish school as a library aid and even sometimes filled in as a substitute teacher. Carol was a long-time member of the Ozaukee County Homemakers.
Carol and Don enjoyed the life of empty-nesters, forming friendships with new neighbors, after moving into their condominium near their old Thiensville home. After Don's death in 2013 and declining health, Carol moved into assisted living at Lasata Crossings and finally a move to the Care Center. She passed away at 94 years old and was cared for and comforted by the wonderful staff at the Lawlis Family Hospice in her final days.
She is survived by her son Brian and daughter-in-law Linda Hoffman; grandson Joel (Amanda) Cohen; great-grandson Alan Cohen, along with the many other cherished relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; son Brent; brother Eugene and sister-in-law Patricia (nee Kuhn) Eisch; sister Ihla (nee Eisch) and brother-in-law Martin Zehren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Carol at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W. Mequon Road in Mequon, WI. She will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Allouez Catholic Cemetery in Green Bay, the following day. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, and at a reception to be held in the church hall following the Mass.
