Mrs. Carol Gosewehr, of Port Washington, passed away at Harbor Club on March 24, 2017. She was 84 years old. Carol was born in Port on August 26, 1932, daughter of Michael and Myrtle Rismeyer Thelen. Following her schooling, she was united in marriage with George Gosewehr at St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington. The couple settled in town and started their family. Carol worked at St. Alphonsus Hospital, Doer Electric, Simplicity, and later as a cook at Harbor Club for ten years before her retirement. George preceded her in death in 2002.
Mrs. Gosewehr was a long-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going on bus trips with her friends, and camping at Badger Campground in Random Lake.
Survivors include her three children: William (Barbara) Gosewehr of Port Washington, Susan (Mike) Morauski of Eagle River, and Bob Gosewehr of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by six grandchildren: Caleigh (Adam) Schultz, Melanie (Matt) Rieley, BJ (Rachael) Gosewehr, Jennifer (AJ) Hardenburg, Hunter (Tyler Lynch) Gosewehr and Peter (Brett Kuehl) Morauski, seven great-grandchildren: Cherokee, Cheyanne, Austin, Jameson, Hazel, Brooklyn and Kenley, one great-great granddaughter, Pixel Royer-Rieley, with one soon-to-arrive great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are her brother Eugene (Betty) Thelen of Grafton, brother-in-law Donnie Burhop, also of Grafton, special niece Jeanine Burhop of Cedarburg, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, George and parents.
At Carol's request, private family services will be held. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Union Cemetery, Port Washington.
