Mr. Calvin Fellion, of The Town of Saukville, passed away at Lawlis Family Hospice Center in Mequon on Monday morning, January, 1, 2018. He was 85 years old. Calvin was born in Laona, WI on August 6, 1932, son of William and Blanche Vallard Fellion. He attended local schools, and enlisted in the US Navy following his graduation from high school. He served proudly until he left the Navy in 1953. In 1960, Calvin followed friends to Milwaukee in search of work. He met Barbara Plank, and the couple was united in marriage on October 27, 1962. They lived in Milwaukee until moving to Saukville in 1970.
Mr. Fellion worked for Cornell, which later became St. Regis and is currently Packaging Corporation of America. He retired in 1994.
Cal was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, presently St. John XXIII, in Saukville. He was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 7037. When his sons were younger Cal was very involved with Boy Scout Troop 868, and enjoyed camping and helping guide the boys into manhood. He liked hunting and fishing, especially on Stevens Lake or the Popple River. Mr. Fellion also enjoyed grouse hunting, woodworking and spending time in his garden. Above all, time spent with his family and grandchildren put the biggest smile on his face.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, and their three sons: Edward (fiancée Sara Penkwitz) Fellion of Dundee, James (Ruth) Fellion of Cedarburg, and Joseph (Janice) Fellion of Saukville. He is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brothers William (Sue) Fellion of Peoria, IL and Edward "Buz" (the late Ruth) Fellion of Laona, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Virginia "Toots" and her husband Bill Cotton.
Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. Father Guy Gurath will preside. Military Honors will follow the service. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Saturday after 1PM, until services begin at 3PM.
