Obituary

Brian Douglas Wirth of Fredonia, passed away in the care of Horizon's Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the age of 65 after a ten-year battle with kidney disease. Brian was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on April 23, 1959, to Kenneth and Ellen Oxenford Wirth. He graduated from Bel Air High School in Baton Rouge in 1977.

Brian retired in 2019 after years of being a dedicated caretaker at Balance Inc. in Grafton. As a lifelong LSU sports fan, he loved cheering on his beloved Tigers. He also enjoyed watching movies and reading. Brian took great pride in belonging to Shriners International and the Masons Brotherhood during his time in Florida. He will be remembered fondly for his "dry Wirth sense of humor".

Brian will remain in the cherished memories of his children Amanda (Tim) Cashin and Chris Wirth; grandson Grady (Halley) Cashin; siblings Laurie (Ed) Palmer, David (Dot) Wirth and Philip Wirth. He is further survived by his ex-wife and dear friend Liz Wirth, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Roger and Norman Wirth and sister-in-law Michelle Wirth.

A private family gathering will take place at a later date.

Brian's family would like to extend a special thank you to DaVita Cedarburg Dialysis, Horizon Hospice and Dr. Mark Fitzsimmons for their care and support.
