Bonnie (Brill) Moorhead, 78
Bonnie passed away peacefully in her sleep Nov. 29th 2019. She was born May 7, 1941 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended Whitefish Bay High School graduating from Nicolet High School in 1959. She attended Drake University and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. During college she taught riding lessons in the UW coliseum with a horse strategically kept (hidden) in the basement. After college she spent time writing for "Women's Wear Daily", worked as a photographer for the Milwaukee Journal and News Graphic and had a stint in the advertising world for Jim Jeffords, In the late 60's she became Bonnie the Ski Bunny on WISN TV for the Upper Michigan ski reports and moved on to WOKY radio before she married radio exec L. David Moorhead.
She was passionate about needle work, calligraphy and art work and excelled at all three. She lived in Mequon during the 70's 80's and 90's and was involved with the Republican Party of Ozaukee County, and the county historical society. Moving to Cedarburg in the mid 2000's she loved the community, school musicals, and the mill with its shops.
Bonnie is survived by her son Leo (Catherine) Moorhead of Cedarburg and
her grandchildren: Westley of Denver Co, Bailey, and Elizabeth. She is further survived by her sisters Patricia Brill, Cheri Carbon, and her brother Randy Brill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bonnie's name are strongly suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Wisconsin.
